TDS, a common factor in ED patients
It has been shown that over a third of men with erectile dysfunction (ED) may also have TDS 17 and this could be higher in patients with both ED and Type 2 Diabetes 26.
TDS is characterised by low levels of serum testosterone, in combination with a number of symptoms including erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, fatigue, poor ability to concentrate, depression and irritability 36, 1.
Measurement of testosterone should be considered in all patients with ED, especially those who are less responsive or have failed to respond to treatment with a PDE5i 18.
