Thinking of buying your ED treatment online?
What should I ask my GP?
It is important that you consider the questions that you would like to ask your doctor prior to your appointment. This will ensure that you get the most from your consultation.
The best approach is to be honest and direct with your doctor explaining how the condition is affecting your life and your relationship.
Below is a list of questions which you may find useful to help you get the most out of your consultation.
- What is the cause of my erection problems?
- What are the treatments available and which one would you recommend for my situation?
- How should this treatment be taken?
- Am I eligible for treatment on the NHS?
- Am I likely to make a full recovery?
- Who can I speak to about the emotional side effects of my condition?
- How can I involve my partner in my treatment?
- Would you recommend that my partner come to counselling with me?
- Is there anyone else who can help me with this problem?
(e.g. specialists in erection problems, therapists)
After your consultation your doctor may then suggest a treatment suitable for you. GPs are able to offer a number of ED treatments directly, however in some cases you may be referred to a specialist at your local hospital.
