Deciding to take action
It might seem easier to resign yourself to ED as just ‘one of those things’. But avoiding the issue means that, as well as ignoring your sex life, you may also be ignoring the underlying condition that could be causing your ED.
Avoiding action can also make the situation worse, because the more you lose confidence in your erection, the less likely you’ll have one. Surely it’s better to take action. After all, there are many treatments for ED and it’s highly likely that your GP will be able to suggest an effective solution.
Your GP also needs to know if you have ED because there may be a medical cause for it. Yes, you might feel embarrassed discussing it. But remember that your GP will have had similar conversations many times before, so they will be understanding about the issue. Most importantly, they can help to find you an effective solution.
